Eating in France is a most delightful experience, whether it is in the great centres of culinary excellence or at a simple, unpretentious bar in a small and remote village. Everyone has to eat, to survive, but the French have made an art of it, and French cuisine is both varied and delicious. It can take many visits before you realise how central a role food plays in French life. No stay in Les Granels during your French holiday, is complete without experiencing some of the treats of the local cuisine!
There seems to be a place to eat around every corner. Most restaurants offer a four course "Menu du Jour" (Menu of the Day), which is normally good value and a great way to experience the local food. Also available in some establishments you may get offered a two course option "Entrée et Plat" (Starter & Main Course) or "Plat et Dessert" (Main Course & Dessert).
For the 2015 season we are in a position to offer our guests two new dining services to give you the ultimate in luxury stays with us at Les Granels. We can offer you, your own personal chef to cook for you for anything from one meal to your whole stay. We can also offer you the ultimate restaurant experience, without even leaving the property!
Our personal chef Andy, will cook for you and your guests whenever you need it. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, evening meal, buffet, BBQ in the garden or someone to look after your eating requirements for a day or your whole stay with us, we can arrange it. We can use your choice of produce or will arrange for that to be organised and delivered as well for you.
For the ultimate in dining experiences, we can bring one of the more popular local restaurants "La Récréation" to Les Granels. This is the ultimate in dining brought to your door. Private chef, waiter, table service and of course the finest French food and wine.
For more information on our in-house dining options, please take a look at our Fine Dining page.
It isn't possible to list all the restaurants and cafés to visit, but we include some below that we feel are worthy of a mention.
